Rev. Andrew Covington – Minister to Students

Andrew Covington joined Conyers First UMC on May 21st 2007 as the new Minister to Students. Andrew, His wife Mollie, Son Drew (who is 6), and Daughter Emilie (Who is 2) moved to Conyers from East Cobb UMC in Marietta, GA where he served as the youth minister. This is a homecoming for Andrew since he grew up in Conyers and Graduated from Heritage High School in 1996. Andrew then graduated from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL in 2002, and Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2011 with his Masters of Divinity Degree. Andrew is one of our three clergy member at CFUMC, serving as associate pastor and he is a United Methodist Licensed Local Pastor. Andrew is also a candidate for Elders Order in the United Methodist Church.

Andrew has a heart for mission and is proud to have been able to be apart of the leadership of mission teams to Kenya, Brazil, and throughout the United States. He has a passion for evangelism, missions, and seeing students excited about serving Christ both locally and globally.
